Glenwood Christian School (GCS) is an independent, not-for profit school, governed by the parents, starting from Grade R to Grade 12. We use the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum, an international Christian school system that provides a rewarding Christian education alternative based on the learners’ needs. This curriculum is results-driven versus the conventionally applied time-focused education methods.
The ACE system recognises that each child has a unique learning style with God-given abilities and talents and was developed with a learning approach that accommodates learners’ individual capabilities.

The South African Schools Act (SASA) of 1996 established a national schooling system and recognised two categories of schools: public and independent. Public schools are state controlled and independent schools are privately governed. All private schools were included into the independent school category.
