About Us
The Bryanston Academy was established to provide parents with a viable and affordable alternative to the established schooling systems. Up until now the choices for parents with school going children were limited to the following options:
Government schools - Usually overcrowded, poor discipline, poor standards, unsafe.
Private schools - Expensive, limited places.
Homeschooling - Parents often do not have enough time and/or patience. Parents are not sure if their child is getting the right education or whether it is up to standard. Hiring a tutor to come to your home can be cumbersome and expensive. (If you can find one)

What is the alternative?
By law, your child must attend a school that is registered with the Department of Education or you can homeschool the child yourself. What we do at Bryanston Academy is to help you to home school your child while at the same time removing all the problems and issues associated with home schooling.
Let’s face it. In the majority of households, both parents hold down a full time job. Even if one parent isn’t working, to homeschool a child is not the easiest thing to do. Parents hardly have enough time, patience or skill to properly guide and teach a child. Many parents would like to homeschool their children but they often just do not have what it takes to help the child to achieve the best possible results.
That is where we come in. We provide a tutoring service for children from grades R to 9 using the Clonard curriculum. Watch your child's confidence blossom as they thrive on the attention. Our children come from many different backgrounds and we aim to work together to give your child the solid foundation that they deserve.
Our Services
In 2015 we will tutor only the Gr R-3 curriculum as provided for by Clonard. The plan is to expand the Centre further over the coming years to include all grades up to grade 9. You can visit the Clonard website at www.clonard.co.za
The Bryanston Academy will open its doors on Monday the 2nd of March 2015. The opening will be subject to adequate enrolment figures. A maximum of 12 students per grade from grade R to Grade 3 will be accepted.

The South African Schools Act (SASA) of 1996 established a national schooling system and recognised two categories of schools: public and independent. Public schools are state controlled and independent schools are privately governed. All private schools were included into the independent school category.
